Contact Club Lorne, tennis and golf at the Lorne Country Club or Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours for some kayaking lessons on The George River, mountain biking or outdoor adventure. Lorne also offers fantastic playgrounds; fishing from shore or the Lorne Pier, a skate park, paddle boats, ducks to feed and more!
Arts & Culture: Falls Music & Arts Festival was established 20 years ago in the Otway Forest behind Lorne. The event staged annually for 4-5 days from 28 Dec- 1 January brings internationally acclaimed musicians and artists for crowds of over 10,000 people to enjoy. Qdos Arts has been bringing world renowned contemporary arts to the region for over two decades.Visit Lorne Sculpture 2018 –a three-week festival of contemporary sculpture to entertain, amuse and inspire. The Lorne Festival of Performing Arts is on again on 28-30 August 2015. Visit the Lorne Theatre for one of the latest blockbusters or art-house flicks. Surfing or bike riding: There are lots of great breaks to catch a wave around Lorne – Cathedral Rock, the Point or off the main beach. Don’t be shy, ask the locals and we’ll let you on the local breaks. Hire a surfboard or bike from HAH Lorne Beach and enjoy the great outdoors.
Bushwalks: For something to get the heart rate going: ‘Lorne to Erskine Falls’ or ‘Cora Lyn Cascades’ is recommended; or for a more leisurely walk ‘Kiora Caravan Park to the rapids’ or ‘Blanket Leaf Picnic ground to Erskine Falls’ is a local recommendation.
