Lorne Heats Up Over EasterMarch 22, 2016
Although the weather may only reach a top of 20 in Lorne, the town will be buzzing with fun things to do. We’ve taken the stress out of your Easter weekend and created the perfect itinerary for the whole family.
Here are the events not-to-be-missed:
Easter Arts Show – Lions Club
- Senior Citizens Centre
- Fri-Sun (10am-5pm), Mon (10am-12pm)
The annual Lions Club show will display over 300 pieces of art from all walks of life. The young, the young-at-hear, and popular local artists will present their work with the opportunity for purchase. All proceeds will go to the great work of the Lions Club, who have been focussing their efforts on the Wye River/Separation Creek fire recovery effort.
Lorne sculpture Biennale
- Sat March 122 – Sun April 3
- Along the Lorne foreshore from the Swing Bridge Café to the pier.
The level of talent on display here will astound you. New and up-coming artists have used Lorne as their inspiration for their unique work, which is open to translation. Take a stroll with the whole family from either side of the foreshore and take in the Lorne-inspired pieces. Better yet, pick up an information book and discover more about the artist and what the piece means to them.
